This morning, the Choko del Remigio hosted the official presentation of the Tudela Ugly Tomato Weekend program, which will be held on August 30th and 31st in the Ribera capital. The event was attended by Irune García, Councilor for Tourism for the Tudela City Council; Luis Salcedo and Alfonso Arregui, president and member, respectively, of the Tudela Ugly Tomato Guild; and Eusebio Sáez, representative of the EDER Consortium.

During the presentation, the Councilor for Tourism, Irune García, highlighted "the importance of promoting this product on a festive weekend, which contributes to positioning the ugly tomato of Tudela, providing continuity, and continuing to talk about vegetables throughout the year."

This year's program includes several new features: children's workshops, the placing of the Brotherhood's handkerchief on the Gardener's monument, and the inclusion of the Brotherhood category in the traditional ugly tomato competition, which will take place on Sunday.

For the organization of the event, the Tudela City Council and the EDER Consortium have signed a collaboration agreement with a budget of €8,932.39. This agreement includes eligible expenses within the call for aid for marketing and tourism development activities, managed by the General Directorate of Tourism for 2025, which represents a subsidy of 30.27%, equivalent to €2,703.90.
